Maybe, i had a premonition the argument was going to happen because i had a prelude to that with my room mate and i arguing over my being snobbish or the fact that im always in this foul mood. Well, i told him reasons why he thinks this is so, maybe not the whole thing but that i was in this emotional stuff and trying to get out of it.Slept, thinking about the argument and the MAIN issue........didn't wake up till 11 the next morning (that has been a normal now). Had a plan to go see Dr. fox about some offers and do some reading over the class assessment given last night. Still, the mood was foul and then the phone came in..................well, not that i wasn't happy to receive her call but then i was still angry over the fact that she didn't respond to earlier calls made by me.She called about something else but i had to pour out my mind..........and it came like Niagara. This wasn't going to be pretty and i knew that. Fire and brimstone...everywhere, you did this, and you did that. Networks went bad, redial on the button. For what seemed like forever, the argument raged on and on..........mehn!, i hate it when i have to go back to the past, cause it will always bring some bad memories.I wish she could just understand my stand point and know im for real and mean no harm. The past should just belong where it is...the past. i know they say you can not understand where you are going to , if you don't know where you are coming from. However, you can chart a new course for the future by taking the good times from the past...not the ugly sides. We are joining forces (pray its forever) now to do something we both care about and that is the future.......................

Temple's buffet
......Finally it happened. Mr. Muyiwa came all d way (7 mins away) from temple to say hi to us in belton, yippeee!!!. Me, zaid and emma were treated to a drive around temple, where we went to GOLDEN CORRAL for lunch-dinner buffet. Never knew a regular eat out could have buffet style...just eat all u want.Hmmm.........was i longing to touch those steaks? yeah i was, and yeah ramadan was in town. So there i sat watching the three of them drop those grubs in their mouths and went for more plates. I was fuming and staring at the watch...........(5pm, fast ends at 8pm).
We discussed issues about home, the banking sector(as 3 of us were former bankers), the current political climate, the home sickness, the things government should do to make people stay more at home. It was just an enlightenment for ourselves and then my eyes went to the time.......7.50pm, opeooooooooooo!!!!. And so Mr. Muyiwa says we have to go to his house, (when i was about to get my grubs?)....oh!, u can always take it as a TAKE AWAY, he said. Mehn!, did i grab dem grubs?...yes i did. Steak, rice, dis and dat sauce (i no know him name), just grabbed dem all. Emma eye no comot the food o, after almost emptying the bowls. At our host house, we met his kids, girl and boy ( cute kids). Watched some live boxing (...promise to narrate how a stupid black dude lost his fight later)...talked more boxing and more politics and then came the wifey before we decided it was time to go.She is cute, with all smiles. We went back to discussions about home, the politics, the good and ALL the bad. Time to say good bye and well.....sure we gonn see them again soon.i miss home ooo...sobs!

...and it all begins
Whofff!!!!....that's how to call the emergency lecture today. Time schedule says Thursdays at 6pm but a chance discovery of the just activated sadermail reveals a mail sent by Dr Mcguire confirming mondays as lecture day.Mind you, we (rommie and i) saw this mail around past 5pm, when we were still lazing around and thinking of where to go before night fall. Confusion sets in and panic sets in too, then the other mail from a classmate comes in stating the lecture will hold thursdays and not monday...han han! wetin b this?
Ok! o.......the naija in me, that doesnt like being thrown around decided to call Dr mcguire and noooooooooooo...............he states categorically, today monday 23rd..we start. This is 5.45pm for a 6pm lecture(they keep to time here o).Na so we carry biro, books (no textbook yet) and head for the PAC, venue of the lecture, and yes the class already had filled seats, (how did they know the lecture was going to hold in just a few mins?). Well, the lecture was another new thing for me, the syllabus, the assessment, the outline and the structure of Dr. Mcguire's way of lecture...all new.
The lecture over, problem begins...how do i go about the assessment given and how do we cough out $115 for just a textbook......just one that two of us go share ooooooo. It all begins.

belton tx., first saturday
Its always hard.....the first words to type. You always want to impress with those lines and make the necessary impact. Yet, its quite difficult writing anything really meaningful when you are this tired.Just got back from the walmart around here after waiting forever to get a ride down there. You see, where i am currently is in the middle of nowhere, a drive of one (1) hour will take you to the nearest big city.I AM A BIG CITY PERSON!!!!!!!!!!. I am coping with the hope that things will definitely get better and the goal will be achieved.
I am here with another Nigerian, we met in Lagos and its like we are in the middle of nowhere trying to achieve a second degree and make a living( that's the koko) . Anyways, i gotta drop off this keyboard and get some rest.Tomorrow is another day.Adious!
